Women's Empowerment

Women's Empowerment

We believe women's empowerment is the real engine of development. We work to raise awareness on violence against women, support their participation in public life, develop their professional skills, and strengthen their presence in community policing and local institutions — all in coordination with local and international partners and official government bodies.

What we do

  • Annual 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, in cooperation with Shams Al-Anbar Organization.
  • Awareness campaign on the negative consequences of child marriage, in coordination with the Baghdad Women's Society.
  • Effective Electoral Participation workshops encouraging women to vote and run for office.
  • Initiative to integrate women into Anbar's Community Police Department, coordinated with the Fallujah Mayor's office and Community Police director.
  • Partnership with the Anbar Chamber of Commerce — skills development for women, transportation allowances, and graduation certificates.
  • Implementation of Mercy Corps' UN Resolution 1325 project on women, peace, and security.
