We implement a dedicated project funded by the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) under its 2024 Small Grants Program, targeting families of missing persons in Saqlawiya. The aim is to improve their effective participation, identify the issues blocking their stability, and follow up on their cases with official and international bodies.

What we do

• Dialogue sessions with families of the missing in Saqlawiya, attended by the local district director.
• Outreach to the Anbar Provincial Council regarding compensation eligibility for affected families.
• Follow-up with the Fallujah Passport Office to expedite procedures for missing-persons families.
• Engagement with ICMP to include the Saqlawiya local government and tribal leaders in international conferences, helping internationalize the issue.
• Building a comprehensive social and economic database on missing-persons families.
• Coordination with the Department of Migration and Displaced to include these families in food-aid distributions.
